USDOL Apprentice Program

Beginning February 2021, RISE is very excited to have created offer Michigan’s first ever USDOL Behavior Health Technician (BHT) Apprenticeship program. RISE has partnered with the Michigan Works! Region 7B and the Michigan Department of Labor (MDOL) to create this Apprenticeship program, and as such, this Apprentice is registered by the US Department of Labor (USDOL) as meeting national labor quality standards. The Apprenticeship will be offered annually to two individuals who prefer a Trade Experience pathway (versus a college degree pathway) to building a high-quality career. This is a full time, incrementally increasing salaried, year-long apprenticeship opportunity. This amazing program culminates in a US Department of Labor (USDOL) Journeyman certificate as a Behavior Health Technician. Additionally, this apprenticeship fully prepares the apprentice to confidently sit for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam, to achieve that nationally recognized credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Through this Apprenticeship, RISE agrees to provide the employee the BACB’s required ‘ongoing supervision’ to keep that credential active.
